Test what you have learned across the six sections of the Infrared Thermography Level 2 course. This exam covers the full syllabus: the design and components of the thermal imaging camera, detectors and optics, optical gas imaging, industrial and fixed camera systems, online thermal monitoring, the classification of thermographic methods, and passive thermography in the field.

The questions focus on judgement rather than memorisation. Rather than asking you to recall a specification, they place you in decisions a thermographer actually faces: which detector suits a substation and which suits a gas plant, when a fixed installation outperforms a monthly inspection route, and when a passive approach is sufficient for the problem in front of you.

Take the exam once you have completed all nine lessons. If a question gives you trouble, the section it comes from is worth revisiting, since equipment selection and method choice are the decisions that determine whether a thermography programme produces useful findings or expensive noise.
