Precision Shop Balancing Online Examination

Validate your knowledge and practical understanding of rotor balancing using professional shop balancing machines.

The examination assesses rotor preparation, balancing-machine setup, single-plane and two-plane balancing, correction methods, residual unbalance, quality grades, key conventions, and troubleshooting.

Candidates who achieve a score of 70% or higher will receive a Precision Shop Balancing Certificate issued by LGP Institute, Türkiye.

Description

Examination Description

The Precision Shop Balancing Online Examination evaluates the technical knowledge and decision-making skills required to balance industrial rotors accurately in a workshop environment.

Questions are based on practical balancing situations rather than simple memorisation. Candidates may be required to select the correct machine configuration, identify suitable correction planes, interpret polar results, calculate mass corrections, assess residual unbalance, or diagnose inconsistent measurements.

The examination also evaluates the candidate’s understanding of rotor mounting, balancing speed, calibration, machine sensitivity, runout, tooling errors, hard-bearing and soft-bearing machines, key conventions, correction methods, and final quality verification.

Successful candidates demonstrate that they understand the complete shop-balancing process—from preparing and mounting the rotor to documenting the final accepted result.
